To us nothing is more sexy than a vintage silhouette; so when it came to styling this series we knew we wanted to use Bettie Page dresses. Bettie Page is one of our favorite boutiques in Fort Lauderdale. Their clothes are to die for and the staff is friendly, helpful & fun.
If you are single or in a relationship you need to own this dress b/c your man or every man is going to go crazy over you!This is the dress that dreams are made of. This is actually my own Bettie Page dress b/c when I put it on I couldn't say goodbye. Not only does it fit in all of the right places but I saw a women that was many years older and a few sizes larger try it on at the same time and she looked utterly gorgeous in it!
As far as the styling the shoot was concerned the dress stands out on it's own so I didn't want to overwhelm it by wearing bold jewelry. For a touch of whimsy I wore red heart shaped studs. I kept the rest simple with a Faberge Egg necklace and bracelet & the ring my parents gave me as a graduation gift.
The location we chose for this look reminded me so much of the campground in the movie White Christmas. Possibly b/c I watched the movie about a thousand times over the holiday season. But what you can't tell is the wall I'm standing on was about 5ft off the ground which probably wouldn't have been as intimidating if I wasn't in 6 inch heels and the surface wasn't made up of rounded stones. In between each take I was teetering and screaming which is wear the laughing shot came in. My lack of injury I chalk up to my days as a flyer in cheer-leading.
