Color blocking is one of my favorite trends because wearing bright colors can transform your mood. I mean how can you not smile looking at these fabulous pink paten leather Stuart Weitzman heels? This DVF dress is the standout item in this look because it is incredibly comfortable, has a touch of sexiness with the silk and lace slip that peaks out from the neckline and only the legendary Diane could make a tie dye print high fashion. The orange beaded braid necklace is to die for, and you can not beat it's $7 price tag. Turquoise and yellow tear drop earrings? Yes, please! Growing up in New Jersey we lived very close to a Six Flaggs Great Adventure and I loved going on the swings. I can safely say as an adult nothing makes me feel more joyful than flying through the air on a suspended chair. It's impossible not to smile while admiring the beautiful blue sky, and the exhilarating feeling of swinging up and down above the spectators below.
The title for this post has a silly back story. When I was in seventh grade I used to go on the swings at recess with my girlfriends. No one our age was going on the play ground anymore, but we did not care it was fun. As a joke one day I started to sing "I believe I can fly" by R Kelly which made people look at me like I was crazy and had my friends roaring with laughter. As time went on kids started racing to go on the swings during recess much to the dismay of my friends and I. Moral of this story is in life do not follow the crowd. Follow your heart and at first people may laugh or make fun, but if you are happy it wont matter. Soon the very same people snickering will be following your lead. So wear bright colors and do not be afraid to stand out in the crowd.
